Dining Room
The oak panels in the dining room have a dark Venetian stain. An opalescent ddome centers the beamed ceiling. Hand roundels are built into the sideboard. The family crests are repeated in the stained glass design.
Many famous people have eaten at this table in the dining room: Vachel Lindsey, First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, Vice President Adlai Stevenson, and William Jennings Bryant.
The butler's pantry has a copper sink, food preparation area, and holding zone where servants waited to serve the next course to a constant stream of guests from across the country.
