Entry Hall

The entry hall is beamed and oak paneled with carved ornament. The finish is called weathered oak and was used at the turn of the last century. To the west is an inglenook, and the panels above the fireplace contain three family crests.

In the late afternoon, sunlight shines through the beveled windows and spreads rainbows across the floor. Windows are a special highlight of this house: the old rounded arches in the bay areas, leaded fan light and side lights at the Taylor Street entrance, the beautiful eight foot tall stained glass Renaissance design windows above the landing, and the stained glass in the library and dining room.
